Dr. M. Gabriela Mángano

ProfilePics_GManganoGabriela is a Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and works on animal-substrate interactions through geologic time. In addition to her research projects in paleontology and geology, she has a strong interest in philosophy and the history of science. She has done extensive international fieldwork. At present, she is co-editor of Palaios, in addition to being a member of the editorial board of a number of journals, including Journal of Paleontology, Paleontologia Electronica, Palaeogeography Palaeoclimatology Palaeoecology, Ameghiniana, and Revista Brasilera de Paleontologia. Gabriela is a member of the Scientific Board of the UNESCO International Geoscience Program (IGCP), a member of the SEPM Board, and Treasurer of the International Ichnological Association. Gabriela is the recipient of the 2018 Association of Women Geoscientists Outstanding Educator Award. She is the author of five books, has edited three special publications, and is the author of approximately 170 scientific papers. Gabriela has supervised over fifteen graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
